I look for this on shorlines, out here when the tide is low they just deposit on the beach, and erode out where the wave breaks. Metal detectors are good but if you have ever tried to dig stuff up it is physically harder than just walking along shorelines. Most of the ancient cities in america are actually buries deep in the sediment and are not researched by the establishment. That is my belief that stuff was happening more than the experts think.
