Well, it's much healthier. There are no preservatives or additives, and even though your baby may not know the difference, a mother does. My baby boy is 5 months and i love to make baby food, even with my busy schedule!
@gnc869187 whatever a woman eats during pregnancy the foods flavor the amniotic fluid, which the baby sometimes swallow. the same applies with breast feeding.
Although I understand people love their children, I think it's a bit "out there" to spend time making an infant's food. I was raised on Gerber and grew up strong,healthy, and even relatively thinner. An infant cannot truly appreciate taste at such a young age, they have no memory until they're two. This all seems a bit excessive?

i think most people just do it for the "organic" idea or to cut costs, and yeah, us tree-huggers can get a little "out there" sometimes lol
