@m4cbook Sry, but YES you can...i can tell u that i have an iMac 21.5" 2011 2.5GHz running with 12GB ram 1333MHz (4GB original + 8GB kingston) and is perfectly fine.

Surprising, iMacs run on laptop memory.

@AshLikeSnow01 Why is that surprising? Most of the hardware in iMac's are originally made for Laptops. The GPU for example is a laptop (Mobile) chip. Full Desktop hardware would not fit.

@MonkeyManWill If your talking about the RAM modules being smaller, no. They won't fit if they don't look similar to the one I used.
