i agree. the iphone has matured so much its too hard to compete with it now because of the power of apps and all these other things. BUT, other phones can be very close to the iphone. i mean very close, and take sales away from and bring competition to the iphone

I actually canceled my verizon contract for an iphone. I'm a fool for paying the etf but Im very happy with the iphone. imo the iphone will ALWAYS be on top

It is a requirement of ALL smartphones, regardless of OS, or WiFi presence. Why? The bulk of smart phone users are NOT average customers. In the past, the smart phone has been geared for BUSINESS USE. As such, businesses need their employees online 24/7. That's why the data plans have become a requirement. However, the data radio does drain a lot of battery, so it is because of this, that Verizon has started including WiFi on more devices, for hotspots. You still must get a data plan, though.
