Ah sorry, misunderstanding. Then I totally agree with you. No people has a right to rule over other peoples.

@AustrianAtheist Ypur point is perfectly valid....the Versailles Treaty dismembered German. The allies had NO RIGHT to do that. However, Hitler didnt simply want a return of these lands....he wanted to take over Eastern Europe. he didnt stop after the Sudentenland and Austria. he went for the rest of Poland, Ukraine, Russia etc etc

I am not a racist or fascist, but this such a simplification. Look at the border before Versailles...

« Gli anni e i decenni passeranno: i giorni duri e sublimi che noi viviamo oggi appariranno lontani, ma generazioni intere si educheranno all'amore per il loro paese, all'amore per la libertà, allo spirito di devozione illimitata per la causa della redenzione umana sull'esempio dei mirabili garibaldini che scrivono oggi, col loro sangue rosso, le più belle pagine della storia italiana.»
(Giovanni Pesce, comandante della III Brigata GAP "Rubini")

Realpolitik: Italians wanted to gain territory in Balkans, and the balkans Polpot wanted their space in Balkans, but historically, never Dalmatia and Istria were considered Balkans in the past. Just one consideration: when Yugoslavia disppeared no one Italians claimed its one own territory just because already an ethnic cleaning already happened in 1945-54!
Italians were enemies of croats and ustashas, Italians were alies of Chetniks and Serbs.

@Rusofil1804 That is a complex issue, Mussolini supported the ustashas very much, without Mussolini the ustashas would probably not got n power or been that strong, they were basically trained and armed in italian camps in Italy. But italians did not support any such genocide, they were dsgusted by what they later did.

@AveEvropa
No ustashas were trained by Germans, Italians maybe have suported them in begining but in 1942 they have started to train Chetniks and to provide Chetniks with weapons and supplies, also Italians have returned Istria and Dalmatia under Italian control and before that those lands were under croat control, but as you said it is a very complex issue, and Balkan is a very big chaos.

@Rusofil1804 Hm, no, sorry but those facts are wrong, Mussolini trained the ustashas and supported them and the leading ustasha in italian combat camps before invading yugoslavia, Mussolini has a very big role in the ustasha movement getting so much power.
