@mick59707 I think you have this the wrong way round, Neil Youngs Harvest moon sounds like this, This song was first recorded (with this intro) in 1961.

A great day for the Everlys; on this date in 1961 {Jan. 30th} "Walk Right Back" and the flip side "Ebony Eyes" both entered Billboard's Hot 100 chart and both would eventually peak in the Top 10. "Walk Right Back" reached No. 7 while "Ebony Eyes" made it to No. 8!!!

I like the song thanks to my father's introduction of it to me, however when I first heard it, I was quite excited that I recognized the guitar rift that sounded quite familiar to that of the stage selection, world 2, in Super Mario Bro's 3! Clever Nintendo, clever.

rickcee..."Walk Right Back" was written by Sonny Curtis...check his Youtube sessions and you;ll hear him sing the 2nd verse that the Everly Bros never included.

Thanks Phoebus, you are quite right Walk Right Back was written by Sonny Curtis. The reason the Everlys left out the second verse is that they were under pressure to go into the studio, so Sonny gave them the song unfinished, by the time he came back to them with the other verse the recording was already in the can. ( have put a reply on rickee's thread)

@megasuggs Didnt the army have something to do with it as well? either Don and Phil or Sonny Curtis. I think they got called up and recorded it unfinished??
