What makes you think he killed it? The guy is a match angler with what looks to be a few thousand pounds worth of gear. It looks more like he was taking it to the side of his swim to release it as where he was fishing was quite high out the water.
There is nothing to suggest he kills it!!! Infact, you can see he looks towards the water and starts heading that way before the clip finishes!
