Video of me playing along to RUSH: excerpts from Tom Sawyer / YYZ. My local radio station held a "RUSH: Ultimate Drum Off" competition. This video was the grand prize submission. I won front row seats and a "meet and greet" with Geddy and Alex. I also received a signed copy of Neil Pearts book "Ghost Rider".
******After 4 years (08/01/11) I guess I need to add an explanation of the sound quality in this video:
I found out about this contest 6 days before the deadline. It was recorded 4 days before the deadline. So the recording session was a one-shot-deal. Unfortunately all audio recordings failed....EXCEPT the little tiny camera on the floor recording my pedals because it was the only camera with a built-in microphone. So 100% of what you're hearing is from a handheld camcorder.
I take a lot of pride in the way I tune my drums and it kills me to listen to this recording. It is a horrible representation of the sound of my drums. But, I am still proud of it...so I am still going to share it. Thanks for watching
