God Of War 3 Demo - Harpy Ride Skip (Speed Run Strategy)

Skip the first harpy speed run strategy! Well this one is a "gimme" really, use one of these "Collision High Jump" to skip the first Harpy ride. Saves fair bit of time, since the game makes you freeze on the spot while you wait for the Harpy to fly over, then save all the stabbing as you cross with the harpy. Points Of Interest: 1. When you skip the harpy ride and go over to the harpy, you can walk through it until you hit it, at which point it becomes active. (When I targeted the Harpy while Kratos was inside the Harpy, technically Kratos was targetting himself! I wonder if Kratos would shoot himself? Must try it) 2. If you jump up on top of the basket behind the harpy, and then arm the Cestus and press R1+Square (?) It makes a horrid noise like an engine, the screen shakes violently as well as the controller. 3. I wanted to show how I got the glitch with the wings, I didnt capture how it happened on the other vid. Basically if you do an Icarus Ascension but time it just as an enemy is about to hit you you get this glitch. Timing is very tricky.

Yeah, last time I did this glitch I didnt want to move for fear of losing the glitched state. So this time I rolled around and attacked a bit, using the wings again makes the glitch go away.

NOTE: I'd mentioned that Cestus "S" (not s1, s2 or the final hit *s3*) behave oddly when in contact with vases. It hits FAR more often than real foes while dealing no real damage. The more vases clustered, the more hits per use.

After the balcony, go left and the leftmost bunch is woth 45 hits (6EXP wthout breaking). Repeat ad nauseum/infinitum

Is there another way to skip the first Harpy ride? Was not aware, I need to read the whole GoWIII thread at tugowu.

This particular Harpy skip can be done even quicker (but its tricky to pull off), you can do an even higher "Collision high jump" where I did it in this vid. Resulting in Kratos landing on his feet on the other side of the gap. (Instead of grabbing the ledge like I did).

This vase glitch, is this a possible Infinite orbs glitch?

You are already glitching the demo,only time will tell what you can do in the third game...Is this game similar to God of war 2?

It really feels different in a better way. Kratos' moves "feel" more powerfull, his body language as he does his moves feel more brutal and combos tie in better to each other.

All up, this upcoming game feels epic! Cant wait for GoWIII

When studyinging another player, I was looking for wall sections with these bits of potential. Both findings were in the pit below (respectively) and allowed skipping. The first is easy. The seconds is iffy to land.

(Vases) Technically it doesn't give infinite EXP "orbs". Just EXP via the bonuses which are NOT affected by settings (for better or for worse). So long as just the attack noted hits, they will not break.

Indeed. We CAN clear the large harpy gap with just 1 kill. Also, vases rather than foes grant a new EXP whoring option
