Motorcycle Riding Marshall, Michigan, USA (5 of 9)

Riding my Honda Shadow 600 around Marshall. From I-69N freeway entrance to Michigan Ave. in Marshall. Camera view was through dirty windscreen, so video is suboptimal. Time first mile-marker to mile-marker seems to be 48 seconds, so I'm moving along well. Note also that the car that got on I-69 right after me never caught me. Yep, I was moving along well.

No comparison Shadow 600 vs. any 750 sportbike. Fastest comfortable cruise maybe 70 MPH tops out full throttle after a _long_ time at maybe 95. You wouldn't be comfy on it for a long trip. You probably want sustained cruise capability of 85MPH if necessary to keep up with traffic. The bike would scare you because traffic might hit you from behind. Will send you my phone number in a YouTube message, and you can test-drive it in the spring if you want. Not suitable for long two-up riding.

How does the bike handle on the freeway?

It is OK. The bike is a 4-speed. It will cruise 75 comfortably. No complaints. But it ain't at home on the interstate.

beautiful view...Can't wait till summer is back. I was wondering how is the 600 on the freeway? I own a 750 sportbike but I'm thinking to get a Shadow for longer rides. Would you recommend a 600 shadow for longer rides like from Detroit to Cedar Point and so on with a passenger?
