I just got done reading SAY YOU ARE ONE OF THEM. My prayer is that the stories told in this book will help people picture the far reaching effect of any evil they do. Fr. Akpan, all those swaps of phones in luxurious hearses helped my emotion. There were like full sunshine that suddenly appeared amidst a heavy rain. At some point I told myself, I rather not hear all this, but since they are true stories of my life time, I might as well face the truth.

I am going to read this book. I think it should be required reading for all of us fortunate enough to live in the "developed nations".

I have read the book and I will not exaggerate but I will say this; not many books I have read in the recent past have touched a chord in me as this one has. The story that worked this for me was that about Jubril ( Luxurious hearses).
I have always been a huge fan of African writers like Chinua Achebe and Nadine Gordimer. Now Akpan joins that list :-)
