This was my first attempt on how to replace my old FS1 Polar battery (CR2025-fr Radio Shack) on my own. I used a 1.6 m/m Precision Screwdriver to remove the screws. Then I used a small flat head about 3.8 m/m size to prey open the back corner where I took of the plate of my watch. Since I had my watch for a few years now, it was out of warranty. But ppl should be aware even if your still under warranty, you could void it even IF you attempt to remove the back cover of the watch, so beware. But for those who feel that they could do it on their own good luck and hope this video helps you:)

  • @3363dude your welcome! I'm glad I was able to help as well as the folks giving additional tips for everyone:)

  • Nice tutorial - I have the same watch and wanted to add something. If your watch keeps resetting after replacing the unit in the case: Along the rear top border (above the battery and to the right of the copper coil) there's a small reset lever. When the metal of the unit is pushed down by the outer plate (ie when you snug up the screws), it can trigger this reset function unpredictably. Just bend the reset lever up and away from the silicon chip!

  • @mei645 thanks for sharing the additional tip! This will help others:)

  • Thanks for sharing, this did the rick for my Polar as well.

  • Good thing you were able to find that small metal piece of your watch. That's why I highly recommend people that your workstation is clear of "stuff". I'm glad to hear my video helped you! Mine is still working so I'm happy too:)

  • Brilliant, thank you! When I tried to replace my battery, a small piece of metal flew out of the inside. After searching for an hour to try and find where it went, I saw it in your video under the battery. Thank you so much :)

  • Hello, I'm not sure about your transmitter for your chest. You'll need to check your manual or check Polar website to find out. Mine is a simple chest strap that I don't see any parts that I'm able to remove/replace. Good luck in your battery replacement!
