Andrea Moya, born in 1986, is originally from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and works in film development here in NYC. While her family in the islands is interested in the US elections but cannot participate, Andrea plans to vote for Barack Obama this Tuesday.

I do agree...puertoricans are of many mixes....Most people judge puertoricans like many white people in the US as dark-skinned. Proof of this matter I am puertorican and my dad is caucasian puertorican due to his "Canaria" roots but just listening to the way she represents herself makes her look like the typical white airhead. this goes to show you how the US looks at "us" puertoricans in a whole. An example: remember the mccain campaign??? Mccain thought "Espana" was in L.America..idiot!

Lination, Ive seen your videos and to me you do not look "white" not even Italian. Maybe the people that say you don't look P.R. are those who are dark skin who pretty much have the mentality to see everything light as "white". to continue my reply to yingdiskette: I don't know if you are a Puerto Rican living in the U.S. than you don't know what its like living there. And if you are a Puerto Rican who is still living in Puerto Rico then you don't know what its like hearing people in the United States having their own thoughts on what a Puerto Rican looks like or what Puerto Rico is.

Maybe the reason she says is doesn't look Puerto Rican is because people in the States have told her that she doesn't look Puerto RIcan. I'm a puerto rican studying in the U.S. and I've gotten remarks saying "really? you don't look Puerto Rican". Even a Puerto Rican told me I didn't look Puerto Rican. And my skin is slightly darker than Andreas.

Being Puerto Rican (visually ethnic wise) is about the same thing as being black, asian, white and dark hispanic in the mainland U.S.

There are many varieties in Puerto Rico and not everyone looks the same. This chick says she is now living in the U.S.? Good cause she does NOT belong in such a warm and hospitable place as Puerto Rico, not with her stupid remarks anyway!
