Trains are operated on the Oregon Pacific Railroad and depart from Oaks Park Station adjacent to Oaks Park in southeast Portland. @14omega28ok if i can recall when i've seen the UP 844, the whistle was loud enough that it shook the ground itself, it goes right through you and it can be heard within a mile or two...
so yes, it is extremely loud, but awesome
