http://www.therenegadehealthshow.com - We fell in love with this drink here in Cusco, Peru...

Chicha Morada is a purple corn drink that is super high in resveratrol. Purple corn can have 4 times more resveratrol than red wine!

Plus, there's no alcohol... :-)

Take a look as Annmarie makes a cleaner, healthier Renegade Health version of this awesome chicha morada...

  • I'm Peruivan and grew up here in Miami. You can find the maiz morado Iin Bodegas. Also nice twist with the juice. I'll try it soon!

  • you might want to use a metal strainer instead of a plastic one for hot liquids

  • "Maiz morado" or purple corn can be found here in the US in some Hispanic stuff stores. I've seen it.

  • Kev, with all due respect, you come across a bit bossy in your vids.

  • Not only is Chicha Morada (purple punch) yummy it is also extremely healthy for anyone to drink. Its packed with anti-oxidants and other good stuff. Don't buy the bottled versions of Chicha though they make it with chemicals and artificial sweeteners. It is better to drink this fresh. Very worth it for anyone to learn how to make this for themselves at the house. Might take you a few tries to get the flavor down right but eventually you will:)

My granny would make it 4 me when i was a kid:)

  • I had some purple corn just laying around.. hehe ;D so i tried to make a nutmilk with it but... welll....... lol.... it turned into smooth corn starch gravy in my vitamix... sooo I made a soup out of it... actually kinda tasty with the sesame seeds, cauliflower, date, garlic, onion, and spices I added. I think it might dehydrate well into purple corn chips i never got around to making... lol

  • maiz moradOOOOO not morada

  • OT: Love that top, Anne Marie. :)

  • Love that purple corn. that would be great with some raw butter and grilled lemon chicken! YUM!

  • That's a great kitchen you got there in Peru. I love the superfoods. Keep it up!
