Yes, I remember, you wanted and got a 17% raise.
Then you decided that wasn't enough, and so you went for a 100% raise. These demands in a time of runaway inflation, near total chaos in the U.S. at the time.

@mchel25 Right on! And it looks like we'll have another repeat in Wisconsin: People vilifying the "greedy" teachers. Nevermind that they are teaching the kids who will run our country. Rip off the teachers, you might as well be eviscerating the country. How dare these teachers expect to negotiate salary, working conditions and health benefits? Do they think that teaching should be a long term profession? Ooops, forgot....most teachers burn out after 5 years!

so he admits their greed put live @ risk

No doubt your job was stressful with major implications. However, had you guys gone on strike, there would have been international implications. The AWACS planes couldn't have taken off, the Soviets were watching you test the new President (Reagan), your timing was horrible.

"Reagan destroyed more than PATCO"... Exactly, that's what made it hilarious. Anything that helps remove the ruse that unions are necessary today and aren't just old 1960's has-beens fighting for job-banks and minimum-wage increases.... it's hilarious. Sorry you don't think so.
@Dystral, all- Not getting these messages till later- How many episodes have we had since February discovering sleeping traffic workers? If you've ever worked this kind of shift, after you go without sleep for so long, you tend to lose your judgment.
