This is for very beginners, I did this video to one of my friend. Instead of deleting I thought it may be good for other youtubers. Here I use magic wand to select a "dirty" background to clear it to any color I want, this is good for product photos. I select with magic wand and delete the information with delete key on the keyboard to delete to the background color. Better results could be achieved by adjusting the tolarance and adding feather to the selection.

  • ok ..so here's the deal..i hope u can help me...i wanna delete the background but i want it to be transparent not coloured..so every time i hit "delete" button the "fill" window pops up...how the fk can i get i transparent .T.T i'm getting insane..i got an online tossing images but they are jpg. not gif/png ..so i wanna know how to get them transparent

  • @kyokospring open the image, goto layers and duplicate the layer (background layer), delete the background layer, do selection, delete.

  • When I click it, press Delete key it just turns white, even tho I changed background color

  • @killer1860 if the image you are working with is at a layer, deleting it will delete the selection, and as the background is transparent or white, it will become white.

  • how didi you make it black?

  • I changed the backcolor at the leftpane to be black and then hit Delete key.
