Wow! This was intense. I love watching the flow when people are engaged in the family constellation work. There are no words to describe what is going on because it is there on a different energy level and things just work itself out. I also like how the instructor was able to flow with it and adding resources to assist this woman.

In the constellation group i am participating, they do not need so many info. Just one sentence as someone above said. And also, no one says who will be the representative. Some people just feel strange after one says the "problem" and they get up and they start realizing what they represent on their own after a while. It works perfectly!

It's strange that the facilitator wanted so much information. Too much thinking going on. Hellinger asks for one sentence, and takes it from there.

If a representative thinks that he HAS to feel something, then it was a misunderstanding of the instruction by the facilitator (or the instruction was missing at all). The instruction should be like: be present & aware of where you are standing and see IF you have a feeling or a tendency to move. Then go with your tendency. Strong emotions can be triggered but thats not always the case. The therapist's job is it to decide if it is the issue of the representative or the person being represented.

I was sceptic about it but I stopped thinking when the process started. I felt that a force pushed out of the circle, I tried to stay inside but I could not so I grabbed a chair to hold myself inside the circle but it was not enough support, started to feel deep sadness and cried. All of it was not about me...I personified the mother of a mentally handicapped person. What I want to say is worth trying it instead of learning, reading or speaking about it or watching it. It is not the same.
