I'm a 78 year old grandmother,who loved rock and roll and rhythm and blues in its prime in the 50s.Bought all my 78s and 45s at the black record stores in Paterson,NJ.My music was not being sold in record stores where all the pop music was sold!!Johnny Ace was one of a kind,and I still get chills as I did the first time listening to him.Such a waste!!

What a tragedy. His songs were very sad, but beautiful. If you listened to them then, you could tell that he was very sad. I remember reading about his "Russian Roulette" suicide in the Jet magazine. Such a talented artist.

@sktangueray Lol...very funny! ;-)
I've listened to this song so many times I lost count! Anyways, this is the first Johnny Ace song I've ever heard and I love it. I wish the newer love songs were like this. There's too much crap on the radio these days that lack substance. This song is very short and simple but you can hear the venerability and sorrow in his voice. What a talented guy!
RIP Johnny Ace...

The sax solo with the tinkling piano is genius on this arrangement!
