Bird of Prey - Alley Cat

A minor hit in Australia in 1973. Written by Mike Batt and Ben Findon and originally released on Lark Records (a European label by the looks of it). It was released on the EMI label in Australia. I know nothing about the song's history or origins and it has remained a curiosity to me for over 35 years.

I grew up in Launceston and I am sure it was a hit there as well (it certainly got plenty of airplay). According to my Australian Chart Book, the song lasted a single week in the National Top 40!
