  • I just learned the Annalisa today in tap class, and it actually starts off with a heel dig then a spank.

My question being, there are probably tons of valid variations to this, right?

  • @JumpingJackFlashFG This is actually a step one of my students made up (it's named after her). I had no idea anyone else had riff walk with the same name as this. That is very very weird. you are correct that there are many many riff walk variations and version of the same riff.

  • @musictaps Oh wow, well this is strange. I'll have to ask my teacher where he got his move from then. He taught us basically this exact same move, and said it was called the Annalisa. What I found strange is that I couldn't find it on the list of tap terminology he gave us at the beginning of the semester. But this is a strangely interesting coincidence!
