Res Ducis: Gaston, Terminology(July)

My first video for Res Ducis. This is an open challenge for SCA dukes to post educational videos to you tube. To complete the challenge you must post at least one video per month for 12 consecutive months starting in August (this is a primer and doesn't count). Remember, you don't have to post 10 minutes, a quick clip showing your favorite shot or combo is fine, you can even video reply to another duke's entry and that counts!!

It's aluminum in one piece with a rawhide edge stitched on. I did the center heel in a sheetmetal break and the rest was done with a dishing press, a hammer, and a wooden stump. It's important not to heat aluminum for shields.

That was great!! It made me miss the pell practice you taught at the yellow house in Buena Vista. I use that o.k. grip with mounted combat, when I'm not swinging like a hammer,... and giggling. Apparently, I treat a sword like a machete,... Bad, I know, =-D
