Steve is studying Russian at www.lingq.com. "Although my language learning method is based on a long "silent period" of listening, reading and vocabulary learning, I was asked to do a podcast in Russian. Here goes."

  • 意外ととてもいいと思っていります。本当に感動しました。

    私も沢山のことばができるようになりたいです。

Действительно хорошо. Я видел не так много иностранцев, которые говорят на русском также хорошо. Я, Вам, завидую.

  • @HitsugayaR спасибо and がんばってくだい!

  • Sounding good so far. I don't think you answered the question, how long had you been studying Russian at this point?

  • I have been at Russian for about two and a half years, so that video must have been after one and a half years. I cannot really remember. I enjoy it. Time flies.

  • И словарный запас хороший, и ударения правильно ставите(что очень редко удаётся иностранцам). Молодец!

  • I'm gonna start my studies in chinese this year and would loooove to learn more languages, such as russian and...well, much more :D I canspeak some french, but when I learn speaking a language I am neeever satisfied. And I'm not pleased with my English either.. ^^"

Your videos are a huge motivation!

  • Я только начал изучать. Я не очень хорошо пока. lol see that was probably terrible! your good tho.

  • Я учу английский уже 4 года, и не думаю что смогу так хорошо говорить как Вы говорите по Русски.

    PS: Читали Анну Каренину? УВАЖАЮ!

  • Excellent result for a beginner. Don't forget to switch to the genitive case following negatives. For example: u menya nyet obchodimosti ... not un menya obchodimost

Also words following "mnogo" are genitive plural. Thus "many words" is "mnogo slov"

    Otherwise, very good

  • Nice work! Easily understandable, good vocablurary, and surprisingly grammar is also good which is rear!

  • Словарный запас и вправду удивляет. Good job Steve. I'm pretty sure your russian is way better since you posted this video. Chineese people, who live in Russia for five years, speak worth than you!

  • very nice i should say

u made some grammar mistakes, but just coz of russian is too difficult and foreigners usually have some :)

good pronounsation, everything is clear, but accent is felt a lil bit.. though it doesnt bring any troubles for understanding

and if u would talk this way to any russian, he's gonna understand everything, so nicely done i'd say)

  • Hi Steve. When I started one year ago with Russian I couldn't understand that video. Now I understood almost everything. Great!

  • This guy is really great!!
