Join Ellis Martin for a conversation with Eric Fier, the Chief Operating Officer of SilverCrest Mines. SilverCrest Mines trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol SVL and on the OTCQX as STVZF. Mr. Fier has over 25 years of international experience in a senior capacity including exploration, acquisition, development and production of numerous mining projects in Chile, Brazil, Honduras, Mexico and Peru. His background includes project evaluation and management, reserve estimation and economic analysis, as well as operations management. He previously served as Chief Geologist with Pegasus Gold Corp., he was a Senior Engineer and Manager with Newmont Mining Corp., and Project Manager with Eldorado Gold Corp. SilverCrest Mines is a Mexican precious metals producer with headquarters based in Vancouver, BC. SilverCrest's flagship property is the 100%-owned Santa Elena Mine, which is located 150km northeast of Hermosillo, in the State of Sonora, Mexico. The mine is a high-grade, epithermal gold and silver producer. A three year expansion plan is underway to double metals production at the Santa Elena Mine and exploration programs are rapidly advancing the definition of a large polymetallic deposit at the La Joya property in Durango State, Mexico. Mr. Fier discusses an increase in Quarter One of 2012 for silver production which is up 108% and gold, up 198%.
