Real Ideas Studio seeks to redefine "real world experience" as a global collaborative and cultural immersion within mentored creative arts programs. As part of this year's program, forty-five students from around the world worked within culturally diverse teams to create nine documentaries related to their experience at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival.
"By bringing student and professional filmmakers together at Cannes, the Real Ideas Studio program offered amazing mentorship opportunities and unlimited access to industry luminaries," said Jim Kenney, Real Ideas Studio program director and founding board member. "Our students learned a great deal about film, but more importantly, about themselves and the larger world around them. They bonded in connections that will last a lifetime."
