@MerlinxPV Al Ludington knows first and foremost AMA events are a commercial venture, a podium contender put in an ambulance is a big loss and they can do without JRP's schoolyard logic. Search Youtube for 'Al Ludington confrontation' and you will see he is talking sense.
@luckyskua No kidding?? Let me tell you chief, I have dealt with Al Luddington when he was Duhamel's mechanic and he was a douche bag then bitching about anyone else on the track but Duhamel, the guy is a tool.
JRP did what he was supposed to do. It was a tight back-and-forth part of the track, not an area where you can drift wide and respond to a blue flag (if he got one.)
AMA pro riders need to deal with the backmarkers, if they can't then tough nuts.
The AMA guy that bitched out JRP should have been fired and never allowed within 1000 meters of an AMA race again.
@TheAMGLover well it isnt the same in bike racing, blue flag means get out the way. club racing and track days what you say would apply, but the blue flag means faster riders behind, dont interfere
rider isn't doing anything wrong here ..i know only a bit from car-racing-rules , but infact it's almost the same (f1 fe.) ..people need to holfd there lines, certainly when going into the cornering-parts .
When doing 'unexpected' moves the rider (or driver) can get surprised by the action and can turn out ugly . Just keep on racing and the others behind will know exactly when and how to pass if they can..that's racing . no errors on the rider's part here...
First JRP held his line as the rule book says. Second he got out of the way for Hayes so did he know there were two bikes there? Doubt it! Ludington is a stupid ass and should have been fired. AMA is a failure and won't be around by 2012 anyway.
Like him or not, rules are rules... Rock Page was clearly holding his line... continuing to RACE. Tough shit Yates... you too Hayes... or (whoever lost.) AMA racing isn't a charity event... punk.
i dont know jack about racing, all i can go by is the comments, and it seems to me LRP, not knowing rep at all, infact, this is a random vid i found, but that he was in a bad spot, and obeyed a rule, and its the fault of the passer. It was a risk that he took. I figure if your trying to pass someone, the key is maybe to block it off the pass? not dangerously, and at those speeds i can understand rules of conduct. Someone enlighten me, whats really the big deal behind it?
