Clockwork Continuity Planning is a unique Business Continuity Management System.

It provides the ability to automatically produce the Business Continuity Plan : Our software automatically writes a Word document, tailored to the particular organisation, based on the results of entering data into the database. This means that the Business Continuity Plans are always of a consistently high quality, and can be produced very quickly and cost effectively. Typically, starting from scratch, a business team can produce a tailored BCP in a single day. This is huge benefit in creating and maintaining plans.

It has the ability to automatically integrate existing company information into the Business Continuity Plans. This means that, for example, staff contact details and next of kin details are always included automatically from the most up-to-date source. Or in a hospital setting, the patient records are automatically appended to the BCP (in Word format) so that if the hospital is evacuated you have a record of which patients need which drugs. Or in a manufacturing or sales setting, customer records are appended to the BCP. This is an incredibly powerful capability.

It is based around a powerful risk analysis and risk register capability: The risk register, together with the Management Dashboard, are the key management tools for managing risk reduction within the organisation. Our risk register not only captures and analyses risks, but it also records and monitors the tasks which need to be undertaken to achieve a risk profile which is acceptable to the business and as such drives the agenda at Risk Committees or Boards. We capture the financial cost of risks and monitor the effect of actions on reducing that cost through our management reporting suite. We also capture the dependencies across the supply chain. This has been attractive to insurance companies as they have evidence of risks being actively managed.

Clockwork provides a process driven approach to Business Continuity Management: Our methodology is embedded within our software. This means that throughout the organisation staff will be addressing Business Continuity in the same way. Policies and best practices are automatically shared across teams, sites, and geographies. This is compelling for international organisations who need to have a common methodology and approach for all of their sites, and for smaller companies who do not have the resources to develop an approach to Business Continuity from scratch.

It provides a cost effectiven approach to Business Continuity Planning: The Clockwork software costs less than £15,000 per site. Implementation can be done by internal staff for organisations which have appropriate Business Continuity staff. For other organisations Business Continuity Consultants can be used to supplement internal staff. Implementations are done more quickly than using more traditional approaches. This is attractive to organisations, because they have control over the cost of deployment. And it is attractive to intermediaries (such as Insurance Companies) because they can use their experienced staff to do Business Continuity deployments for their clients (as an added value service) faster than using more traditional approaches.
