Mother and calf Humback Whales just off the coast at Hilo, Hawaii. The calf was continually breaching. Quite an experience flying directly over them for 15 minutes. Unfortunately my camera has a button to turn off the digital stabilizer... DOH!!!
Thanks to my brother Eric and Kirk "Yeti" Deffebach of Island PPG for sponsering the 1st annual Powered Paragliding Fly-in on the Big Island of Hawaii. Only Wisconsin Kyle and myself were able to attend (last 2400 miles can be tough). Make your reservations early for next year.

seen whales in alska and it was truly moving experience!!!! ty for the vid and the awesome hawaii skyline, i'd love to ppg there one day

Unfortunately the video can't capture how cool it is to see whales breaching below. The music choice did capture the mellowness of our flights. Come back soon.
