  • Guy from Doobie brothers is 100% right. He speaketh the truth.

  • Disco is a hybrid of Funk+Classical Music with roots also very much in R&B, Soul, etc. so it really was just another evolution of Rock N' Roll that was an offshoot.

Whereas Hip Hop has literally replaced Soul, R&B and Funk. It doesn't really have any roots other than taking chunks of someone else's work and using that to attract air play. They still do that, Chic partially owns Rappers Delight, but they stole it right off them.

I just think HH is worse, and these guys thought Disco was bad!

  • antes decian esto de la musica disco y en verdad a los creadores de este video yo pienso que la musica disco en verdad era musica bien hecha ami me gusta la musica disco y se apreciar ahora todos estos artistas que hablaron en este video que diran de la de la musica de ahora

  • alice cooper as fill of shit as per usual

  • @Hxs28 You are right in a way... there are aspects of disco and funk in today's music mainly sampled or ripped off from the 70s and 80s songs and artists but with different lyrics...rap artists in particular sample 70s and 80s music and claim the music as their own creation.. so do today's soul and funk artists.

  • @vinto34 With all due respect, disco as a trend might have been short lived, but disco as a genre (which has started before Saturday Night Fever and all the commercialization of Disco) has been not a marginal and short lived phenomenon at all. If you consider disco funk, soul disco and indie disco funky stuff there's plenty of excellent songs and recordings that form the basis of a large part of the modern and contemporary music.

  • It was a great time to be alive the 70s and 80s,i didn't care much for disco...my sister had the saturday night fever album ,which she played to death.Disco, like punk was really a musical trend, which was short lived.

  • Lindsey Buckingham looks and sounds AWESOME!! (:

  • i like disco and rock. :)

  • "disco as a creative thing is death" lol

    i love lindsey.
