Proverbs 21:13: "He who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor Will also cry himself and not be answered."

I wrote this song based off of Jesus' words in the book of Matthew, chapter 25, verses 31-46.

Here are the words, please tell me what you think! Thanks!

[Chorus 1]
What have we become as a country, as a Church?
Where are the hands that fed 5,000, or the feet that walked on water?
Where are the people who stand against oppression, who fight injustice?
Oh God, what have we become?

[Verse 1]
Starving children, dying of thirst, in a country far away,
but why are we so wrapped up in things, that will pass away like the wind?
We did not give Him water, We did not, give Him something to eat.
When we turned our backs on the least of these, we turned our backs on the King

[Verse 2]
Stand up church, rise up, let's get dirty and get uncomfortable.
Let us take what we have been given and give it away to help those in need!
It's time to shake off the chains that enslave and to rise up to feed the hungry,
'Cause when we do it for the least of these, we do it for our King.

[Chorus 2]
What could we become as a country, as a Church?
When here are the hands that feed the nations and the feet that cross the waters.
We are the people who stand against oppression, who fight injustice.
Oh God, what could we become?
