Brilliant psychedelic track with sitar and female singer from their 1st LP issued in 1970. A much different version of their own composition issued as 45 in 1968.

  • @winggoddess it sure does... very similar musically

  • I'll take the album if you dont' want it!!

  • @Lizzpear

Sorry, I coudn't catch fire :-( Maybe if I had bought it at the time it was issued...? (Looking through the glasses of that time....) Sure it's a simple matter of taste - don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings to whom this album means a lot. I prefer other styles of psychedelic music - not judging the Poppy family. I was just disappointed because I had bought the album blindly, hoping the rest would be like "free from the city"...

  • @devilboydc

Yes! I found the song on that compilation ;-)

  • @gotanigo you gotta be kidding!!

  • reminds me of mummer's dance by loreena mckennitt.

  • @gotanigo Totally, it's a bid depressing too :)

  • You gotta love the name, "The Poppy Family". HA! If you like this tune, try to get a hold of an album called "The Trip", a collection of 60s stuff put together by Saint Etienne. Those tunes are beyond groovy.

  • I like this : )

  • Like this song very much. But not the rest of the album, which was just disappointing, not trippy at all :-(
