  • This is one of the best openings to what is essentially a documentary I've ever seen. It fools us by opening with travelogue newsreels of ceremonial dancing worldwide, then seamlessly begins to integrate the films of the dancers we all know: Taina Elg, Gene Nelson, James Cagney, Debbie Reynolds, Gene, Frank, Cyd, Ann, Fred & Ginger, Nureyev, Travolta, and on the list goes before they finally bring on the hosts. Well done. (But how did they get clips from Universal, Fox, and WB films as well?)

  • literally the best opening scene to a movie :)

  • @anapaulaholanda I'm sorry I don't.

  • @sugarsugararchies Ann Miller and she really was a dancer. Search for her here, she was kinda famous for a Campbell Soup commercial she did in the 70's....she danced on the lid of the soup can!
