Movietrailer ***CLOSING IN ON TANJA***

Najaar 2007. Er duikt een video op van een jonge Nederlandse vrouw die zich heeft aangesloten bij de Colombiaanse guerrillabeweging de Farc. Ook haar dagboeken worden gevonden en in 15 talen gepubliceerd. Tanja Nijmeijer wordt groot nieuws in binnen- en buitenland.
Wat bezielt een meisje uit Twente om alle schepen achter zich te verbranden en zich bij een van de meest gewelddadige guerrillabewegingen ter wereld aan te sluiten?
Die vraag houdt ook filmmaker Leo de Boer bezig. Hij zoekt contact met de Nederlandse Liduine Zumpolle, Farc-deskundige en tevens de vrouw die de dagboeken van Tanja in de publiciteit bracht. Al tientallen jaren voert zij een eenzame strijd tegen de Farc in Colombia.
De Boer besluit om met Liduine op zoek te gaan naar Tanja in Colombia.
En haar familie; hoe gaat die daar mee om? Met de moeder en de zus van Tanja voert De Boer indringende gesprekken over haar. Om tenslotte met hun samen een ultieme poging te doen om Tanja te bereiken en haar een helpende hand te reiken.
Maar wil Tanja die aannemen? Kán ze die nog aannemen?

This is a terrorist group. They sell drugs kidnapp thousands of innocent Colombians and youtube should not promote their exploits and repressions. They are not freedom fighters they are not leftist, or marxist or Che Gueverra belivers they are just terrorist.
