This is one of me and my sisters practises for the song Do they know its christmas by the original crew of Band Aid 1984 performed by ten of our puppets in total. We are doing this as one of our 10 songs to perform in front of family on Boxing Day 2008. The show should last about 40 minutes. In this video, I am operating some puppets on the right, some on the right (cameras left) and the orangutan half-way through and my sister is operating the left side puppets (cameras right). You won't believe how hard it is to change over so quickly with so many singing voices and we have to get another one on our hands to prepare for the next voice. Me and my sister swap puppets extremely quickly in this so this is why the video isn't perfect as I must stress it is purely a PRACTISE but we hope it brings a smile to your face at the very least!
WOW you have a big gang of puppets there!! and they all work together so well, that must have taken some planning!!
Fantastic!!! :-)

Do they know it's Christmas ? Well! without a doubt they certainly do ! I did try four times to count the puppets used in this 'tour de force' but the total varied each time. The fast changes of performers even caught them by surprise such was the rapidity! At times the puppet theatre seemed to be a bit in the way. With so many star performers involved in the making of this famous recording a large number of puppets have to be used. Synchronisation of movement again - perfection. 10 out of 10!
