Working on this slowly for the past couple years. After refurbishing old parts, scouring eBay for more parts, fabricating custom parts, I finally have her running well. I still need to upholster the seat pan, but it looks cool without. Gas tank is bare metal and I'm going to leave it that way. Looks tough.

Some things I did here:

- based off a 1980 CB750F Supersport
- handmade seat pan
- custom wiring
- cafe clubman bars
- GSXR brake lever
- rebuilt calipers
- rebuilt carburetors, that took forever.
- new chain
- new clutch
- Ducati tailight
- updated running lights and signals
- rebuilt forks
- ...and many more.

  • awesome start. how did you make your side covers? i never liked the stock covers. also, are the 4 into 2 pipes stock?

  • Thanks. Take some posterboard and place it over the frame in that area. Rub a piece of pipe or aluminum over the posterboard and the frame lines will rub on the posterboard. Cut along the lines and you got your template. Snip sheet metal from the tracing and there you go.

I rounded the edges by hand and hammer, so it's a bit of massaging at that point. I used a body hammer and a 2 inch trailer hitch on the bench to shape the steel.

The 4 into 2 pipes are stock. They are heavy but look great.

  • I'll be sanding down the side covers and getting them up to par with the tank - should look good all steel. Almost done cleaning up the wiring harness under the headlight - otherwise runs strong and fast.
