@Abbyviki Correction: I think that was pure fictional fantasy for the characters as Cord was conceived in June/July 1959 or 1960. Not nearly 10 years later.

@shrinefilms1 Yes, it does make her more of a legend, because we never got to see them ruin her. But I still hope she returns someday and kicks some tail.

@CarlD2 Doesn't it feel like, even though I still deep down like it when they bring Mitch and Allison back, that the fact that Maria STAYED DEAD kind of makes her more of a legend????? Because the truth is the very first search on Tube I did went like this, OLTL, Maria! Ha Ha!

Honestly, I think Maria and her mother (also, named Maria!) wanted to get their grubby little hands on that money! The look on Maria's face when he said he would have married her says it all. At first she swoons then she puffs her chest. He would have married her... but then he wouldn't have been an oil barren's heir!!! So, interesting to realize Maria and Tina were more similar then I ever realized. And the best b**** won!

Seeing this clip makes me love both the character of Clint, and definitely the actor Clint Ritchie, even more if that is possible!! It is heartbreaking to watch him deal with not only Jessica's (I guess really Natalie's) kidnapping but the revelation that Cord is his son and was kept from him all these years by both Maria and Asa.

Interesting to hear Clint saying he gets the loss of Cord and the loss of Jessica mixed up, since Maria did interfere in Jessica's return.
I guess Viki regretted giving Maria the benefit of the doubt. In a way I'm sorry that Maria had to go bad but I sure did love crazy Maria.

I love Clint Ritchie here, he was such a great actor and presence, really miss him. I would love to see where he and Cord meet knowing the truth finally.
