What Emily is suggesting, you could see already in the US-movie "Green Card" with Andie Mac Dowell and Gerard Depardieu. In 1990!! Eventhough it was not the main topic of this movie. At this time, Emily was still in need of pampers for girls... So what is the innovation?

OK - the people in America finally woke up and they recognised, we have to change our habbits... But why did it take you so long?

The sky is falling. I admire your efforts Chelsea, but we also have to live our lives. Do I have to feel guilty every time I get in a car or take Skytrain? Oh no, I'm killing the planet. Maybe I will just stay in the house and turn off the lights and sit very still as to not disturb the ecosystem. We have to be realistic.

People are doing a great job of ensuring that the planet won't be here for the children we may or may not have(if it's any of your business)So ya, the solution to the problem would be to erradicate us all. Which'll happen. Just because it won't be in your lifetime doesn't mean that you shouldn't care. I probably won't have children because I don't relish the idea of having a kid in todays society NOT because of my carbon footprint. There's too many with your senseless & conscienceless attitude!!

YOU F'N ROCK EMILY!! I will NEVER drive ( i love my bike too), I do the plastic bag thing (when i don't have my backpack) I eat locally as MUCH as I can-I recycle 4x more than I put in the garbage...You are an inspiration and a testament to what I'm trying to do and get drilled in my friends heads!!!!  It's not hard at all, it's not even too hard to bring your recycling home instead of in any available garbage bin at the time. I hope you win the Contest!! you definatly deserve it :-)
