  • Ah, Basilnelson! What a magnificent tribute to the ultra glamourous Miss Bennett! I've only seen a few of her films but enjoyed her performances, especially as the gorgeous brunette femme fatales in TRADE WINDS with F. March and WOMAN IN THE WINDOW with Edward J. Robinson. She could really smolder!

Miss Bennett was a petite woman, and oh, so gracious when she came to her first DARK SHADOWS FESTIVAL many years ago! She brought down the house!

    Your video artistry remains unsurpassed!

  • @erzbet07 Thank you for your comments! For more Joan Bennett check out my recent second tribute MOVIE LEGENDS - JOAN BENNETT (REPRISE).

  • Once on the Dark Shadows set I worked up enough courage to tell Joan that I thought her very best work was in the 1940's film Scarlet Street! I had loved that film for years and she made it great! Joan smiled and replied back "Oh then I take it you don't like my work here on this show"! I felt trapped and I nervously started to say "Oh no that's not what I meant" but she patted slowly on the shoulder and said she knew what I meant and thanked me!

  • @DonnaWandrey Thank you for the memories of the beautiful Joan Bennett.

  • Miss Bennett sure was a beautiful woman. She is greatly missed.

  • @DonnaWandrey Wow how lucky you were to meet Joan, thanks for sharing your story.

  • Was most gorgeous in the mid 1940's.

  • I always thought Joan was the more beautiful of the two sisters...although I like Constance in films....and also the better actor.Beautiful photos.

  • there's kind of melancoly character about her, even when young.

  • @basilnelson Your very welcome!
