Local bands showcase their talent on "The Scoop," an online talk show that airs from noon to 1 p.m. every Tuesday on UTB/TSC's Internet station, Sting Radio.
Besides local bands, "The Scoop" also features campus clubs and organizations.
Cleiri Quezada, Sting Radio's news and information manager, is "The Scoop's" host.
The goal of "The Scoop" is to make sure that everyone showcases their talent.
The interviews are entertaining and held in a conversational manner, allowing each interviewee to feel at ease.
Clubs and organizations take advantage of "The Scoop" because it allows them to promote their organization and upcoming events.
Local bands have the opportunity to promote, perform and talk about their background in music and promote future events in which their bands will perform.
The bands are allowed to play up to four songs for each half-hour they are featured in "The Scoop."
Sting Radio also encourages students with talent, independent artists or anyone with an interesting story to be featured in the online talk show.
To request an interview on the upbeat online talk show, call the Sting Radio Office at 956-882-5838 or email us at stingradio@utb.edu
