This is extremely sad.. A group was silenced and another was amplified.. I cannot feel happy because even though I don't agree with some peoples views it breaks my hearts.. that they don't get a say in their own children's ideology when they are in school. This is not equality for everyone.. just for a majority.. but a minority is just as much everyone.

This is just restoring some balance and accuracy to history. To ignore the fact that Baron Friedrich Von Steuben, the man who trained George Washington's army, was gay and that he had to leave Europe due to his affairs with younger men, is to rewrite history and ignore its reality. The full civil rights meaning of Martin Luther King's March on Washington is ignored when one ignores the homosexuality of Bayard Rustin, the man who planned all the details of the march and the rally.

Well that's an untruth... The administration isn't fighting to keep it on the books, it's fighting to stop it from ending right at this moment... It has still been repealed and it will still come to an end (I think in November)

While I'm curious and slightly unhappy about the administration's decision, don't lie and say that Obama is trying to keep it on the books when he's not
