@joshfieldstbone Pat Metheny built a bunch of robotic guitars, marimba's percussion, etc. Himself. Trust me, something that requires only mechanical finger movements is easier. The hardest part would just be making something enough joints to have the flexibility of a human finger to form more difficult chords. I've played trombone for 12 years, its taken me less than 2 to get as proficient on guitar as I am at trombone.

@KuroTempest Really? It'd take them playing a guitar to impress you? Wind instruments have so much more involved, not only do you have your hands and fingers working in tandem, but you have to time it to the millisecond with your air and tongue, a hole of varying size between your lips (with brass), all the while maintaining breath support in order to play smoothly and musically. Winds are harder for humans, and they're magnitudes harder for robots.
