Jean-Pierre Jouyet is the French Minister for European affairs. He is currently preparing for when France takes over the EU's rotating presidency on the 1st of July. It is a crucial time for the French and the EU as it will be France that guides the union through the ratification process of the Treaty of Lisbon. There are a number of issues on the agenda, apart from the environment and energy issues, the EU will have to deal with the important and difficult issues of agriculture, trade, immigration and Turkey.

  • "One thing is certain - we won't start drafting a new treaty," said French minister for European affairs Jean-Pierre Jouyet. "Europe didn't come to a halt on June 13th."

Why did he change mind? Why did he lie?

  • I can't wait for France, the most liberal socialist country in the EU to take over and steer us towards more love, tolerance and lots and lots of cake, baked with lots and lots of Love.

hahaha France being impartial. My god that's one of the best jokes I've heard.
