EVE Online - Minmatar Militia vs Pirates

A little redemption on pirates out in Amamake.

&Before you guys cry about it, yeah, I'm a noob, I've only be playing for a month.

Originally we hunted down an Amarr fleet in Houla (that's why I only have 55% armor) but once we killed their Gaurdian support, they up'd and left. Eager for some kills, we decided to take the battle to Amamake where we had intel of a pirate fleet. We baited them with a battleship, and then warped in for the kill. We dropped a cynofield to call in carrier support to finish them off, but the carrier bumped off the gate (@2:38) at 1500m/s and continued well out of triage range. Unfortunately one Tempest and one Gaurdian escaped, but we still managed to inflict over 0.5B ISK in damages. Every encounter is a learning experience.
Thanks to all the veteran players for letting me fleet with them.

cheers for posting this one, it was a shame rothgar bumped off the gate (oops on my mate placing the cyno) but still a comprehensive minmatar victory, as it should be

The practical difference between those two named weapon types are so abysmally low that the huge difference in price becomes a put-off. It simply isn't worth it, using tier3 or tier2 weapons instead of the horribly over-priced tier4 is usually a far better economical choice until you get T2, as T2 is superior to tier4 and in the vast majority of cases, is cheaper too. Tier4 is only highly expensive because it's rare and the 'best' non-T2. Also he's 1 month, so not rich.

Tech 2 would be cheaper and do more dps. Spending the isk on your ship is smart..You'll survive longer. Thats why I hate militia. No one wants to spend the isk for a better ship. Otherwise nice killing the pirates
