A number of people have wondered why Kimbo was cut after this fight and I think the reason is very simple: he isn't very good. Kimbo has talent, but nowhere near the level of the UFC, even at the bottom. He would be eaten alive if he went down to light heavyweight and the two opponents he's faced in the UFC have been taylor fit to give him the best shot of winning. It backfired with Mitrione, though, because Mitrione is geniuinely talented and a pro athlete.

Kimbo shouldnt give up on MMA. He does learn quick and he is willing to learn which is hard to find especially in a street fighter. He doesnt claim to know everything about mma at all.
