We ought to write to our elected officials in Washington to make it a national law. Many people don't pay attention to what they are doing when they are on the cell phone.

This is such a great idea on the surface. But when you dig deeper (which you did!) -- it's just for show. If a police officer cannot stop someone because he or she suspects someone is texting -- how are they supposed to "bust" the person after the fact? It reads like a PR play.

Between eating, smoking, texting and two screaming boys in the back -- I am surprised anyone is alive and in one piece! I think this is a great idea for a law -- I know I need it!

The funny thing is how the hell can a cop prove that someone was texting while driving?
You can just delete your texts by the time he pulls you over.
