Dear Claire, I need something stronger than coffee. Has the USA gone mad?

An open ideas forum I wanted to share with Claire - wildwoodclaire1- regarding her work, and the root cause of USA creationism political dogma. I compare the modern stance of the Republican party/far Christian right as like the insular nationalism of 1930s Germany: the total rejection of reason based on fear and the perceived predjudicial superiority complex based on military might. I adore both you and Claire, and your works here on youtube. I understand what you're saying fullheartedly. My father was a WWII war hero, and afterwards became a staunch atheist AND liberal. I'm very much like my father (except for the war hero bit). What is fascism? It is the merger of corporate and government power. It is all so clear, and you're right it IS disturbing. Claire is a geologist, and her contributions to a great cause are irreplaceable in my opinion. Keep up the good work

they become a problem when they are left unregulated.

in many countries 1/3rd to half the schools are religious, but they operate as if public, with state financing and of course regulations and curriculum.

I am so glad that you were brave enough to compare the current "extreme nationalism" in the US to Germany in the 1930s. I thought I was the only one who thought that. It scares me enough to want to move out of this country now before they throw my atheist butt into jail.

@AmetReloads In case you haven't noticed, the Creationists on our side of the pond have a very hard time growing up. Worse, they get into positions of political influence over here.
