Today Amtrak detoured the Coast Starlight trains through California's Central Valley. This rare detour was necessary because of a bridge replacement project on the trains' regular route via the Coast through Santa Barbara. This video contains LOTS of people--the population of the small community of Caliente must have grown ten-fold for a few minutes today!

Hard core!!! I was up on the Loop shooting video of 11 & 14 then I chased 11 south and shot video of it passing through Mojave, Santa Clarita, & Sylmar.

Wow, I am so sorry about getting in your shot; if I had seen your camera, I certainly would have not gotten in the way. There were so many people there, though, it was hard not to get in anyone's way.

That indeed was a rare moment totally ruined by a bunch of inconsiderate people, it happened to me yesterday at the Loop when the NB 14 Coast Starlight came by
