@nartard34 That's my Hannah!!!

soloist epic job!

@Fusiondoom I absolutely agree! Although both are FANTASTIC, I have to say that Stroope's interpretation leaves a sense of wonder and tranquility for the audience a tad more than Lauridsen's.

This is the best version is the best. I had the honor of being directed by him at UNO.

^^have you checked out Song to the Moon by STroope?? it's genious
-
@Fusiondoom I see where you're coming from. It is a great piece.

Lauridsen's is pleasing, "pretty", but Stroope's is by far the most lingering, haunting of all of them. Stroope was not afraid to use a sense of dissonance and texture that the others didn't venture towards. it is simply my fave out of all the renditions. IMO

@Fusiondoom What about the Lauridsen? It's hard to beat that one.
-
Stroope's version is the most haunting and memorable version of the text, even better than Barber's imo!

I'm so glad you put this video up. I'm singing it with my choir and you can really hear the alto part in this video. It's helping me learn my part.
You guys did amazing on this.
This choir is awesome and should have more renditions on here. I thought I read somewhere in the Longview Newspaper that ETBU Concert Choir was doing a 'World Premeiere' song! Where's that song, By Daniel Gawthrop?

i don't think its appropiate to put that song on here when the music has not been published all the way...

Mr. Moore is still doing amazing things with his choirs. I graduated from ETBU in May of 2006. This is also one of my favorites. Please post more ETBU concerts on here, I miss these days.
