The Mourning of Muharram is an important period of mourning in the Shi'a branch of Islam, taking place in Muharram which is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is also called the Remembrance of Muharram (Arabic: ذكرى محرم or مناسبة محرم‎). Many of the events associated with the remembrance take place in congregation halls known as Hussainia.

@omarssvcs, the sunnah of the sahabah is to fight and curse one another. I hope you have read the history and know what is the battle of Jamal, battle of Sifin where your favourite sahabas strived against the rightful caliph of the time, Imam Ali a.s... if that is the sunnah of the sahaba, sorry, I am not interested... your favourite sahabas also ran from Uhud leaving Rasulullah s.a.a.w in pain... I prefer to follow sunnah of the twelve Imams who never ran. Truth is clear. salam

@yusufbest are you an old barren woman? Do you know why she did that? It's not out of grieve and agony over the dead, but in awe of the glad tidings from Allah in the quran, our sunni scholars have made the tafsir clear. Your Ulama tafsir out of akal, not nas. wa Iyyazubillah. Come back to the truth which is following the sunnah of the sahabah which Allah gave glad tidings in Surah Tawbah verse 100. May Allah guide me and you.

I did not believe my eyes when I saw malays as of the shiites. Waliadzubillah. May Allah make Ahlus Sunnah As Salafiyin be steadfast upon the deen and never be fooled by the shia's. BTW where are the parents of this malay people? Did they allow their child to change the religion of Tauhid (Ahlus Sunnah) to religion of Shirik (SHIA)? Hypocrites are nothing but the scum of Jahannam.
