when you say "(Yo) Quisiera" is it only for females or can also be used for males. I thought for males it would be Yo quisiero. Am i correct?

Actually is:

I need to go to the bathroom

Yo necesito ir a el baño

"a el" can be contract like: "al"

Then you have to said it:

"Yo necesito ir al baño"

Good video , Like that you put lesson words in sentences, which is much more use full, So when learning spanish , instead just saying couple words leared, can say sentences. look forward to more of your free lessons

now a few corrections in your phrase:

Estoy buscando ayuda o una clase porque entiendo mucho, pero la manera en la que aprendí fue escuchando a mis amigos que no hablan inglés (casi nunca ellos me corrigen)
